Integrating Human Rights into Business: Reports from the Front Line

We first looked at how human rights law applies to business and now turn inward to explore the management and operational challenges companies face in integrating human rights into existing practices.

The Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights require companies to "know and show" their actual and potential impacts on human rights. This means that companies must craft new policies, update risk-management systems, and create new impact mitigation strategies, even as they build long-term institutional capacity and support for human rights. While the benefits of these activities are becoming clearer, the obstacles are no less daunting.

Join us for a moderated discussion with Christine Bader, 黑料正能量’s Human Rights Advisor, and representatives from multinational companies and civil society to explore the challenges and strategies for integrating human rights into business.
