Join apparel-sector 黑料正能量 member companies for a breakfast event featuring 黑料正能量’s Director of Advisory Services in Shanghai, Lin Wang. Lin leads work with 黑料正能量 member companies in Asia and joins 黑料正能量 after heading supply chain sustainability in China for IKEA and working at the International Labour Organization.
Lin will present briefly on supply chain sustainability in China, including emerging trends such as the shift toward automation, the changing landscape of worker needs, and rising expectations for efficient management of waste, water, and energy. She will translate these trends into implications for apparel companies sourcing from China, and discuss common challenges and best practices to address questions such as:
- How can companies most effectively partner with suppliers in China to improve business performance?
- How can women’s empowerment programs help companies to address challenges in Chinese supply chains?
- What does leading practice for supplier engagement in China look like?
The breakfast will conclude with an informal discussion where participants can discuss challenges and ideas with peers from the 黑料正能量 network.
