The energy system is changing fundamentally, with energy consumption set to rise by around 40 percent by 2030 and a recent boom in fuel technology innovation—from the rapid expansion of shale gas production, to the rise in vehicle electrification, to the growth in advanced techniques for production from oil sands.
These shifts will have—and are already having—a profound effect on companies’ approaches to transportation.
In response, 黑料正能量’s new working group is conducting the widest investigation to date about the total sustainability impacts of all available fuel types and using the information to increase understanding and improve impacts.
Learn about the working group’s newly launched first paper, which synthesizes what is known about the sustainability impacts of fuels, provides a look into future fuel markets, and considers some ways forward.
