Join 黑料正能量, the , and the a half-day, in-person event during Climate Week NYC focused on the role of transition pathways in guiding companies and countries toward credible climate action.
As pressure mounts for robust and transparent climate transition plans, this event will explore how local and sectoral pathways can serve as a strategic compass, helping businesses and policymakers align with national targets and long-term low-emissions strategies.
Through expert presentations and multistakeholder breakout discussions, we will examine how pathways are developed, how to identify and apply the most relevant ones, and what benefits they bring across different contexts.
Agenda:
- Insights into the development, interpretation, and application of global, national, and sector-specific pathways
- Practical applications from high-emitting sectors and key regions, including Southeast Asia
- Reflections from companies on how they are engaging with pathways—or why they aren't—and what’s needed to close the gap (representatives from electric utilities and hard to abate sectors).
- Breakout discussions to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities for alignment
This event aims to build capacity, foster dialogue, and identify actionable solutions to help companies embed transition pathways into their climate strategies, while strengthening links to national plans and global goals.
The convening is designed for corporate sustainability and strategy teams, transition pathway experts, policymakers, and other actors looking to deepen their understanding and application of transition pathways.
