Awareness of labor rights issues in the AI data supply chain is growing, along with emerging best practices and resources. However, many companies have not sufficiently integrated these practices into their broader human rights programs, responsible sourcing policies, and AI ethics initiatives, and the industry lacks a coherent, approach to addressing these labor rights issues.
This working group for AI developers brings together key actors from the tech ecosystem to accelerate the implementation of a human rights-based approach and emerging best practice, with the goal of promoting labor rights for workers preparing datasets and training algorithms that form the basis of AI.
