Living Wages: Strengthening the Comparability and Credibility of Estimates

Despite growing corporate commitments to living wages, fragmented and inconsistent data continues to hinder scalable implementation and credible reporting. Companies face a complex landscape of methodologies and estimates, making comparability, transparency, and alignment difficult across geographies and supply chains.

To address this challenge, , a consortium of leading living wage data and service providers, has developed the (LWRS)—a framework designed to evaluate and compare living wage methodologies and estimates against a common set of criteria.

Launched at the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights in Geneva, the LWRS is now entering its pilot phase. The 2026 assessment will evaluate global and country-level methodologies and lead to the publication of an aggregated dataset of publicly available living wage estimates, mapped against the Standard’s criteria.

黑料正能量 invites you to a presentation of the WageMap Living Wage Reference Standard, an overview of the 2026 pilot and assessment process, and a discussion of how companies can engage with and support the initiative.
